OK I am not going to quit school. I was having a blow-out moment when I found out about that class. I didn't "fail" the class I got a D, but it's a required class so I needed to pass it with a C or better. So I have to take it again this spring.
I will be interning at Richland District One's student services program Healthy Students Safe Schools. I really enjoyed the people I interviewed with and they seemed genuinely impressed with me. The internship pays $10 an hour and I can do it again over the summer if I'd like. I'm hoping they'll want to offer me a full-time, permanent position when I graduate in the summer.
I got to spend time with my first love this weekend. I never thought I'd really be over her. I realized that I really am AND I am absolutely, madly in love with K.E.L.! I am very glad that I my ex and I are capable of having a friendship. It's my ideal outcome to a break-up. I now realize that it's only possible after a good bit of time has gone by.
I got tons of really cool stuff for X-mas:
Stereo
TV
Make-Up (I asked for it!)
Tickle Me Elmo Surprise
Elmo music wand
Picture frames
candles
Shiny shirt
but the coolest present of all was my FOOTIE PJ's!!!!! You remember the pj's you had as a child with the feet in them that were all one piece don't you? They make them in adult sizes!! I have been looking for them for about 4 or 5 years and finally found them at Target. My sweetie got them for me.
This X-mas I even spent 3 days at my Mom's. It's the first time since I moved out that I've done it. We all had a good time cooking and horsing around. My youngest step brother, Eric, was up visiting too. It was the first X-mas that I felt like I belonged w/ my family since I was small.
Gotta run...dinner's cooking! Later folks.
