Feeling like the world's against me..Call me crazy strangely I love the odds

I've decied to grow my hair out for the next couple of months. That's a big deal for me because I've been sporting a bald fade for the better part of 8 years now. I'm going to try to grow it just enough to sport a faux hawk. It'll be fairly short, but still blonde. My mother will have a fit I'm sure.


I've decided to get back in the job market (w/ some the gentle encouragement and loving support of Kathy). If you know anybody who's in the market for an entry level PR person let me know. I'm off to visit with a person whom I've been trying to schedule some time w/ since January. She's a practicing Pagan. We struck up a conversation about the proverbial "closet" and how homosexuals aren't the only ones hiding in there. Being a Pagan in the South, ruled by Christians..Southern Baptists no less, has proven to be a challenge to her. She owns her own business and could feasibly lose it if people were to find out. She seems way cool and I'm very excited to finally get a chance to sit and talk with her. (Thanks for rearranging your schedule to accomadate this lumpkin).


I love when I hear a song and it actually speaks to me. Even better when an entire album from an artist strikes a chord with me. So I'll probably be posting lyrics here and there over the next couple of weeks.

Sorry if I've been less than active on you guys' journals. It's Spring and I'm feeling a bit more energetic so hopefully I'll be around a bit more.

I am ALWAYS late! I'm not sure what happens between the time I start to get ready for things and the time I get there, but inevitably I end up being late. Sometimes a minute or two, others 20 - 30. Tongiht was no exception. I went somewhere and Kathy had something to do at 7. I knew that, but was late getting back anyway. It wasn't intentional. I always think traffic's not as bad or whatever and underestimate how long it's going to take to get somewhere. If I'm not late then I am way early, although that's much rarer. Point being, Kathy's pissed! She has every right to be. I'm a royal fuck-up sometimes. For all my charm and thoughtfulness somedays, I have definite moments of just sheer, unbelievable asshole-like behavior. More often than not, it's truly unintentional.

Any ideas on being more punctual? I've already done the setting the clock fast thing...doesn't work for me.
