qtip at 01:02pm on 26/10/2004These are my stats from work from July-Oct(thus far). I have never worked at a call center before and actually didn't start on the phones until mid July. The increase in phone calls between July and August is obsurd! I think I handled it fairly well though. My job is only busy 2-3 months out of the year. During that time we actually keep longer hours and are open on Saturdays. It sucks time wise, but the overtime pay totally rocked! From here on out, fewer calls and most of those won't even be tech calls. I'll work my 8 hr days and go home and NO weekends. All in all this isn't such a bad job. Hell, it's paying the bills and I have insurance..woot!
So, now I get to browse through the newspaper and whatever magazines I have between calls. Chat with my coworkers (there are only 11 of us on our project) and have a fairly relaxed day.
Well off to go finish putting phone numbers in my new cellphone!
