Does anyone on my friends list have a copy of Jill Carter's "So You Wanna Be a Title Holder" that they would be willing to loan me for a bit?

One of the things I miss while bootblacking is the ability to take pictures. Kathy and I are working on my website and I would like to have a gallery, but I realize I have very few pics of me at events. [livejournal.com profile] gowains_erin has sent me pics of me blacking at DomCon Atlanta, I have a couple from Frolicon last year with [livejournal.com profile] photognome and [livejournal.com profile] roonie sent me her entire photo set of our trip to San Francisco for Folsom.

If by any chance you have photos of me bootblacking or attending an event I would really appreciate having a copy of them to add to the gallery section. I will give appropriate photo credit.

In case you couldn't tell, I've spent a great deal of time posting today. I have also been working on my website and several other things too. I was all good until I became frustrated with my website shit. If you've ever designed a website, you know how one little thing can make it all wrong. I can't design one, but Kathy has donated her time and talents to help me. Then something went wrong and I went nutty. Kathytold me to walk away from my computer so I did.

I took half a Klonipin and pulled out my bootblack kit and the boots I gouged the leather on the last time I wore them. I set up my little station, had music on the tv and got started. This was the first time I burnished anything and it went well. The gouge is gone and I didn't take off much of the leather in the process. So I get into the swing of things. 14 coats of polish and 2 hours later, I am much calmer and a bit more focused. I forget the meditation part until I'm doing it.

I'll wear the boots to work tomorrow.

* A note to my fledgling peers in the bootblacking arena, Angelus polish will flame up quicker than Lincoln or Kiwi. If you decide you want to test flaming out, have the lid to the can close at hand. I don't recommend blowing it either as the flaming wax (now liquid) will fly all over the place, land and still be flaming. On the plus side, it's much easier to work with after that. ~grin~
