Feeling like the world's against me..Call me crazy strangely I love the odds

This has been the worst week I've had in quite some time, but I somehow managed to not jump off a cliff or go on a homicidal rampage. My cookie for being a remotely descent human being and not going bat shit...(drum roll please)...a weekend in Atlanta with my family of choice!! I even arranged to leave work early today at 3PM!

Super extra double bonus, I get to see Willow (again) as well! This week aside, I am still a fortunate boi.

Did I mention that this week sucked so hard on so many levels?

2 more hours and I am hittin' the road!

I love Atlanta more every time I visit! I meet quality people each visit and this one was no different. Kathy and I invaded the home of the ever so lovely luckygirl74 and rubberheathen. They are awesome hosts!! Got to meet a few of their friends and had a fantastic time despite my wallflower-like behavior. Thoroughly enjoyed watching everyone interact. Amazing personalities the whole lot of them. I'm hoping that the next time we visit we'll get to see them again.

Now totally a member of the poisdeneige fan club. She raises frogs!!! Cute little itty bitty thumbnail sized ones and blue dart frogs!!! I have to admit, one of the coolest things I've ever seen. She's gorgeous, funny and smart. ~le sigh~

I've never done the touristy stuff in Atlanta. Maybe next visit we'll do some of those things and then have another "picnic"!

Anway, the "crotch fruit" of luckygirl74 and rubberheathen...absolutely adorable and smart as all get out! There are people who's genetics should be passed on, these two are definitely a couple of those people. The more I get to know them the more I respect and adore them.

The time away was very relaxing... lots of lazing around...fantastic food...impressive company...intelligent conversation. Wanna do it again soon!

PS - I know I should have let a few more people know that we were coming down. I promise, next trip I'll schedule it around some event I think most of might attend. What that is yet, not sure. I promise I don't love any of you any less.

It's not a rugby Saturday, but I am awake and out of bed. The house wench Kathy's bringing me coffee. Why am I awake and trying to be all coherent and crap you might ask? 'Cause I'm going to ATL! I must be excited because I went to bed late and am still awake and energetic.

Leaving here in a couple of hours. Then meeting the fabulous Homo Jay for lunch when we get there. Then off to invade friends house for a couple of days.

I managed to get a couple more boxes unpacked last night too. Mostly books. Kathy's already picked out 2 to reread. She's also humming the Naotional Geographic theme music. It's the cutest nerd thing ever! I guess I'll get the rest on Monday once we're back.

Still wishing I had a jet or magical powers. August cannot get here fast enough! I've never been to Philly. It's an awesome city from what I hear. Lots of historic stuff, great nightlife. I probably won't get to see too much of the city. I rarely have the luxury of visiting a place just for the purpose of wandering around. But the trade of for not wandering Philly is just awesome! Sorry, tangent.

Gonna go pack now and eat something then we're off!
